I'm trying to not use similar shots to Nita - a little challenging :-) Anyway this is fast shutter speed - trying to capture Semeru as he swung around his enclosure. I have better shots, but not when he's moving this fast.
This one is actually from the last zoo trip - but is an example of a long exposure as the photo is indoors.
Now I'm thinking the assignment was actually about aperture - so this shot is at low aperture which increases depth of field (ie most of shot is in focus). Can't actually access the website right now to check on assignment or apertures...
This one is high aperture which means the blooms closest to the camera & the background are blurred - perhaps decreasing the aperture would have focused more of the front flower?

Cute! You caught Semeru so well.
I love the way your purple flowers turned out with the fuzzy background. Definitely more purple than mine.
